WHAT IS YOUR CHOICE?

Your Choice is a music industry supported campaign initiated to address the growing cultural issues around behavior and lack of personal accountability within Australian venues and event spaces. These issues are not exclusive to the music industry, they’re prevalent within our society. However, as a community of festival promoters, venue owners, artists, promoters and managers we are banding together under the Your Choice banner to create change. The goal of Your Choice is to help influence a culture of positive behaviour through shared responsibility – as industry organisers and the patrons attending. WHERE IS UNIFY HELD

UNIFY is held in a town called Tarwin Lower, which is in South Gippsland, about two hours South-East from Melbourne. The drive down is beautiful and extremely easy to find. Click here for a map to the site.

WHEN DO THE GATES OPEN?

The gates to UNIFY will open at Midday on Friday 12th January and close at 4pm Sunday 14th January.

WHEN DOES THE ARENA OPEN?

Friday 12th – 2pm to 2am Sat morning
Saturday 13th – 8am to 2am Sun Morning
Sunday 14th – 8am to 2pm

I DON’T HAVE A CAR, HOW CAN I GET TO THE SITE?

There are a bunch of transport options in 2018 if you don’t have a car including the UNIFY Bus, Banana Bus or Car-Pooling. Click here for all of your options!

WHY DO I NEED A CAR PASS? 

This is an addition that we have put in place to assist with regulating the amount of car traffic travelling to UNIFY. We want to encourage car-pooling or bus travel, and minimise the festivals carbon footprint. Remember, if you arrive with 3 or more ticket holders in your vehicle, we will reimburse your car pass in Unify credit to use on site.

WHAT IS MY CAR PASS AND HOW WILL I RECEIVE IT?

Car passes will be in the form of a unique sticker that you will need to apply to your windscreen prior to your arrival at the event carpark. These will begin to be mailed out in November. Car Pass purchase closes on Friday January 5.

If you purchase a Car Pass within two weeks of the event the sticker will NOT be posted to you. You will need to bring a print out of your order confirmation to collect the carpark pass when you enter the event carpark.

PLEASE NOTE: Your car will NOT be allowed entry to the event car park without a car pass and you will be turned away.

CAR PASS INCLUDED WITH HERO OR LEGEND (VIP PASSES)

Everyone purchasing a VIP package will receive a ‘Car Pass’ sticker. With this sticker you can enter the carpark with one vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE: When purchasing a HERO or LEGEND upgrade you can choose either a ‘Car Pass’ or a ‘Bus Ticket’

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL COME TO UNIFY?

There is strictly only 7,500 tickets available for UNIFY 2018. The last two events SOLD OUT ahead of time, so get in quick.

ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS AT UNIFY?

Yes, UNIFY is strictly 18+ with no exceptions.

IS UNIFY A BYO EVENT?

Yes, you can bring your own drinks into the campsite area but not into the arena area. In the arena we have awesome bars serving beer, spirits and cocktails at very reasonable prices (please note, alcohol cannot be taken into or out of the arena area)

IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE ON SITE?

Yes, we will have a great selection of food trucks available, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. If on the off chance you have to queue during the event, think of it as a chance to meet new friends!

WILL THERE BE GOOD COFFEE AT UNIFY?

Yes, barista made coffee will be available – most definitely on Sunday morning

IS UNIFY A CAMPING FESTIVAL? AND HOW WILL THIS RUN?

Yes, UNIFY is a Camping Festival. Camping is free and you have a couple of options when it comes to what you need to bring. In 2018 we have partnered with Kartent to offer biodegradable cardboard tents. These are completely recycled, waterproof and set up for you on arrival. For more information on Kartent, click here. If a more traditional camping experience is what you prefer, you can bring your tent, sleeping bag and all the rest and set up on site. Camping slots are not pre booked or purchased. There is plenty of room though so once you arrive on site you can find a spot to set up your camp and you’ll be good to go.

WHAT IS THE KARENT COMFORT PACK ($75 INCL. GST)

Is a pack that includes everything you need to just roll up through your back, food and booze in the tent and hit the main stage. Not only will you arrive on site to have your tent already set up you’ll arrive and there will be a Inflatable mattress, pillow and pillows all ready to roll. Along with a couple of extra helpful items.

– Inflatable air mattreses
– 2 x cotton pillows
– 2 x sleeping bags
– LED light
– Baby wipes – 1pkt
– Tissues – 1pkt

WHERE ARE THE KARTENTS LOCATED? CAN I MOVE MY KARTENT TO WHERE MY FRIENDS ARE CAMPING

Kartent’s will be pre-set up before your arrival to the festival. They will be set up in Kartent communities. The location will be clearly identified on the site map that will be released closer to the event. The site map and location will be provided to you directly by a representative from our ticketing team via the email allocated to your purchase order. 

You are unable to move or set up your Kartent in your own specific area, however you will be able to advise your friends that are not camping in a Kartent where you will be camping (identified on the map) and they can camp close by accordingly.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO COLLECT MY KARTENT?

All you need to bring is your proof of purchase stating that you purchased a KarTent, from there a member from our on ground team will direct you to the KarTent community accordingly. A representative from our ticketing team will be in touch to provide more information in the near future closer to the event regarding your KarTent. 

WHY DID THE PRODUCT PRICE OF THE KARTENT COMFORT PACK INCREASE FROM ANNOUNCE TO ON-SALE?

There was an increase from $55 to $75 given that KarTent increased their offering to a single OR double mattress rather than the foam mats. Given the increased cost of the mattress we had to increase the price of the comfort pack upgrades.

CAN I SET MY TENT UP NEXT TO MY CAR?

STRICTLY NO camping in the carpark. Security will be patrolling the carpark day and night to move anyone into the campsite that is trying to set up camp in the carpark.

CAN I SLEEP IN MY CAR/CAMPERVAN?

CAN I BRING A COUCH TO UNIFY?

Unfortunately not, sorry! Leave the couches at home.

CAN I MOVE BETWEEN THE CAMPGROUND AND THE CARPARK?

Yes and No. You can move between the campground and the car-park during daylight hours ONLY (between 8am to 8pm). After sunset you must remain in the campground/arena areas.

ARE PASSOUTS AVAILABLE?

No, once you enter the event carpark there will be no pass outs available. The car MUST stay stationary until the conclusion of the event. If you decide to leave the event carpark early you will not be allowed to re-enter the car park or the event. Make sure you bring plenty of $$, food, drinks, appropriate clothing and camping equipment for the entire event. With all the awesome music going on at UNIFY we’re confident you won’t want to leave anyway!

CAN I LEAVE ON FRIDAY/SATURDAY NIGHT?

If you wish to leave the event on either night, your wristbands will be cut by security and given to you as a memento. You will not be able to re-enter the event.

EXCEPTION: only those that have pre-registered with [email protected] and proven they have local accomodation (proof of address or accommodation booking confirmation) can leave the site after 8pm.

STAYING LOCALLY:
If you wish to stay locally you are required to submit proof of accommodation along with photo ID for each person wishing to stay off-site to [email protected] to be added to the Staying Locally register.

To allow you to leave the car park you must visit the ticketing booth, have your name checked off the Staying Locally list, and obtain a car park pass-out wristband to show security or staff when leaving or re-entering. This pass out will allow you to leave Friday and/or Saturday nights, and re-enter the following day.

CAN I LEAVE EARLY ON THE SUNDAY AFTERNOON?

Yes, you can leave anytime you like, however please remember that there are no pass-outs so once you leave you cannot re-enter.

WHAT CAN’T I BRING TO UNIFY?

Apart from the obvious illegal things, you CANNOT bring:
– Glass of any kind (Bottles, Jars etc)
– Gas Bottles, BBQs or cooking devices of any kind (Triangas, nitros bulbs etc)
– Dogs or pets of any kind, unfortunately
– Generators
– Fireworks or Flares
– Fire Sticks & Poy
– Kegs of any kind
– NO Candles, campfires or fires of any kind
– NO Handheld lasers
– NO Selfie sticks
– NO Illicit Drugs
– NO Drones
– NO Weapons of any kind (we don’t actually need to list that, do we?)
– and MOST of all no bad vibes or arrogant attitudes!

WILL THERE BE DISABLED TOILETS AT THE FESTIVAL?

Yes! We have disabled toilets both in the Arena, and in the campsite. The ‘Arena’ toilet is located near the entrance archway, and the ‘Campsite’ toilet is accessible via the ‘Tarwin Sharks’ Club Rooms (Please speak to our friendly staff or security for access and assistance.)

WILL THERE BE A VIEWING PLATFORM FOR THOSE IN WHEELCHAIRS?

Yes! There will be a viewing platform for those guests who require it and will be located near the VIP Bar.

WHAT IF I HAVEN’T RECEIVED MY PDF TICKET/E-TICKET?

Please check your junk mail.

NOTE:
If you purchased more than one ticket you will receive one Order Confirmation email from 24 HUNDRED and then a separate email ‘E-Ticket’ email for each ticket you purchased that will have the PDF E-Ticket attached. Ie. Buy two tickets – you will receive one confirmation email and two ‘E-Ticket’ emails both containing one PDF ticket as an attachment.

PLEASE NOTE:
If you bought more than one ticket there is a chance the 2nd, 3rd, 4th …… ticket may have gone into your JUNK folder. Be sure to check your junk email folder if you only received one ticket.

WHAT IF I ORDERED MY TICKET AND VIP BUNDLE/UPGRADE SEPARATELY

A representative from our ticketing team will be in touch in the near future with all of you that purchased a VIP upgrade to clarify any separate orders and make sure that they are linked up in our system.

Upon arrival at the event, you are to visit the ticket box office, present your E-Ticket as well as you VIP upgrade order confirmation as proof of purchase. A wristband will be issued to you that will allow you all of the VIP privileges your HERO or LEDGEND pack provides.

PLEASE NOTE: All merchandise on VIP orders will be fulfilled in November. 

ARE NAME CHANGES POSSIBLE?

Yes, please refer to the E-Ticket email you received that contains the pdf ticket.
For every ticket, you purchase you will receive a unique email with a single PDF E-ticket attached. In the body of the text of the email there will be a web link that allows you to change the name and email address associated with that ticket.

Steps-by-step on changing the name and/or email address:

1. Click the link below this statement ‘You can manage/update the name and email address for each ticket using this link’. A website address will open up
2. update the name and/or the email address on the ticket.
3. Click the CONFIRM/SAVE button
4. Check the inbox of the email addressed saved for the new ticket.

If you change the email address, once you hit the confirmation button a new ticket will be generated and emailed to the NEW email address and the ticket in the original email will become void/cancelled.

PLEASE NOTE: the time for name changes ends at 5pm Wednesday 3rd January.

BUS INFO

Where does the bus leave from?
Departs Melbourne From: Southern Cross Station – Friday 12th January @ 8:30am

Departs UNIFY from Festival Bus Stop: – Sunday 14th January @ 3pm (Arrives at Southern Cross Approx 6- 7pm)
*Please note – you must report to departure point 30 minutes before final departure time for bus call. You will not be receiving a physical ticket – your name will be on the bus list + number of bus tickets you purchased. If you purchased more than one bus ticket under your name you must arrive with those you bought a bus ticket for. Everyone who purchases a bus ticket will be emailed with further instructions prior to departure with more specific details.

What does a bus ticket get me?
Your ticket entitles you to a return trip from southern cross station to the festival, and then back to the same pickup location after the festival. No changes can be made.

What happens if the bus times change?
These routes and times that are outlined at time of purchase are subject to change. You will be given ample notice if any changes are made to adjust your plans accordingly.
Please keep an eye on your emails in the lead up to the event as this will be the way we will communicate any changes to you.

What happens the morning that we leave?
It’s really important that you get to bus pickup location a minimum of 30 minutes prior to departure. The plan is to get everybody to the festival and set up before the first bands begin.

What do i need to bring to get onto the bus?
To get on the bus you will need to present
1. Your photo id (proof of age/licence/passport),
2. A copy of your order confirmation from 24hundred
3. A copy of your event ticket (qr code).

*not only will we need your photo id to verify your ticket, but, without a valid event ticket you will not be allowed onto the bus as you won’t be able to enter the festival site.
Please note: that student id’s are not acceptable.

What if i buy a ticket and then can no longer go?
Bus tickets can be on-sold however, name changes must be made one week before the event and must be emailed to [email protected] If the id presented does not match the name on the list you will not be allowed to travel on the bus.

Important extra bits to note
No drugs or alcohol will be permitted on the bus. If you arrive excessively intoxicated, or do not comply with the bus marshals, you may be refused entry on the bus & no refunds will be given. Oh, and you will need to make your own way to the festival.

You may, however, keep sealed bottles of alcohol (must be in plastic bottles or cans) in your bag to be stowed away as luggage.

There is a supermarket and bottle shop a short walk from the site for any last minute supplies you may need. Please note there are no pass outs once you have entered the campground.

PARKING
Your purple VIP car pass entitles you to the best parking. Have it displayed on your windscreen and follow the signs upon entry to the VIP Carpark.

VIP ENTRY
Once parked you’ll be issued with a fast ticket to skip the lines and go straight through to the campsite before anyone else and secure the best spots. Look for the VIP lane. Entry to campsites for our VIPs starts at 10am (12pm for everyone else).

WRISTBANDS
Once you’ve set up your campsite, roll through to the Box Office or Arena Entry and show your ticket to receive your VIP wristband.

Legends only – If you’ve purchased a Legend Bundle, this is when you’ll receive your 10 drink credits.

VIP BAR ACCESS
Your VIP wristband entitles you to entry of the VIP bar we’ve set up just for you. You can enter the VIP bar at any of the Arena opening times to grab beers without the cues.

Legend’s only – You’re invited to have a drink with the UNIFY promoters. We will take you to the VIP bar before we even open the Arena to general punters. To take up this opportunity, arrive at the Arena entry at 12:45pm on Friday to be greeted by our VIP manager.

Legend’s only – During this time you can have your photo taken at our VIP wall by our event photographer. Photos can be found online from 8am 17th of January here

WILDLIFE VICTORIA
As part of your bundle you’ve made a $5 contribution to wildlife Victoria. Look for your thank you certificate via email post event.
